From May 11 to December 31, 2020 Transition énergétique Québec increases the financial aid to its Chauffez vert program by adding $1,000 as an extra incentive for all conversions from oil heating systems to electricity.

As an example, semi-detached homes were eligible for $875 are now temporarily increased to $1,875. Completely detached homes were eligible for $1,275 are now temporarily increased to $2,275.

Furthermore, for the conversion of an oil-fired water heater to an electric water heater, Chauffez vert will grant an additional amount of $250.

Also, by replacing or installing a new heat pump (central or mural) certified ENERGY STAR®, an additional amount of $650 is applied. If you choose a model at low temperature, you are eligible for an additional amount of $1,000 for a total of $1,650.

* The amount of $250 only applies when the conversion of the oil-fired water heater to an electric water heater is done at the same time as the conversion of an oil heating system to electricity.
